Our black car service standards start with the cabin. The fleet is late-model Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac and Grech coaches, detailed before every ride, with water, Wi-Fi and device chargers on board. This guide covers what you find when you step in, how to choose a car for your group and bags, and the few cabin rules that keep it that way.

What's on board: our black car service standards in the cabin

When your chauffeur opens the door, the car has been detailed for your trip. Inside you will find:

  • Water for the ride.
  • Wi-Fi, so you can work, send a file or join a call on the way to the airport or a meeting.
  • Device chargers, so you land at your next stop with a charged phone.

Your chauffeur is part of the cabin too. Chauffeurs are suited, background-checked and trained for discretion. They handle the bags and the doors, so you can step in and settle.

Choose the car by group size and luggage

The right cabin also depends on the size of your group. Count the bags as well as the people, because the vehicle classes differ on luggage:

  • Luxury Sedan: Mercedes-Benz E-Class, 2 passengers, 2 bags.
  • First Class: Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar, 2 passengers, 2 bags.
  • Luxury SUV: Cadillac Escalade ESV or similar, 5 passengers, 5 bags.
  • Luxury Sprinter: Mercedes-Benz high-roof Sprinter van, 13 passengers in individual captain chairs, 13 bags.
  • Standard Sprinter: 13 passengers, 13 bags.
  • Limo Sprinter: 13 passengers, 5 bags, with lounge seating.
  • Mini Coach: ask dispatch about seating for your group.
  • Motor Coach: up to 56 passengers.

The Limo Sprinter and the Luxury Sprinter seat the same number of people, but the Luxury Sprinter carries 13 bags to the Limo Sprinter's 5. For an airport run with a full group, that difference decides the vehicle. The whole range is on our fleet page. Tell dispatch your headcount and bag count, and we will match the class.

What "or similar" means for your reservation

Some classes list a model "or similar". Our reservation terms explain what that means in practice:

  • We make reasonable efforts to provide the vehicle type you request.
  • A specific model, color, year or feature is guaranteed only when it is confirmed in writing.
  • We may substitute a vehicle of equal or greater capacity or value when needed because of a mechanical issue, a scheduling conflict, safety, traffic or other operational needs.
  • The vehicle and chauffeur may come from a licensed and insured affiliate provider. The same reservation terms, cancellation policy and waiting time policy apply.

If a specific model matters to you, ask dispatch to confirm it in writing when you book.

Child seats on request

We provide child seats on request when available, so add them to your reservation early. A parent, guardian or responsible adult installs the seat, checks it and confirms it is secure before the trip begins. Our chauffeurs do not install child seats.

The California Highway Patrol sets out the state rules. Children under 2 ride in a rear-facing car seat unless they weigh 40 pounds or more or are 40 inches or taller. Children under 8 must ride in a car seat or booster seat in the back seat. The CHP page also explains how to reach a child passenger safety technician if you want help with installation.

Keeping the cabin clean: smoking, food and spills

A few rules keep the cabin ready for the next passenger:

  • Smoking, vaping and illegal drugs are not allowed in any of our vehicles.
  • Open alcohol may be restricted or prohibited depending on the vehicle type, passenger age, service type, location and the law. Ask dispatch what applies to your trip.
  • A minimum cleaning fee of $350 may apply for excessive dirt, spills, food mess, strong odors, smoking or other conditions that need professional cleaning.

The customer is responsible for damage caused by passengers in their group. Our reservation terms and policies list the full details.

Lost items

Before you step out, check the seat pockets, the door pockets and the floor for phones, chargers and glasses. If you leave something behind, call dispatch at (888) 491-3088 or email info@iblacklimo.com. If the item is found, we make reasonable efforts to return it. Delivery, shipping, storage or the chauffeur's time to return it may be charged.
