Our Oakland and San Jose airport car service works like our SFO service: live flight tracking, a chauffeur who meets you inside with a name board, and up to 45 minutes of complimentary wait from landing. If you live or work in the East Bay or the South Bay, OAK or SJC may suit you better.
Below is what each airport offers, which terminal your airline uses, and how we pick you up or drop you off at each.
When OAK or SJC may suit your trip
We suggest starting with fares and flight times, then looking at where your day begins and ends.
- Starting in the East Bay. If you are leaving from Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville, Alameda or Walnut Creek, OAK is worth checking first.
- Starting in the South Bay or Silicon Valley. If your day starts in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino or Mountain View, SJC is worth checking first.
- Trips with more than one leg. If you fly out of one airport and return into another, book each leg with its own airport and terminal, and we track both flights.
In 2025, OAK handled 9.17 million passengers and SJC handled 10.68 million, The Mercury News reported from the airports' own figures.
Oakland airport: name, terminals and airlines
The airport's official name is Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport, and its code is still OAK. The Port of Oakland, which runs the airport, adopted that name in July 2025 and describes OAK as the main airport for the greater East Bay. In April 2026, San Francisco and the Port announced a settlement under which the name stays, The Oaklandside reported.
What to know before your ride:
- OAK has two terminals. According to the airport's FAQ, Southwest Airlines operates from Terminal 2, and the other airlines use Terminal 1.
- The OAK BART station sits across from the Terminal 1 baggage claim area, a short walk from Terminal 2.
- The airport is open 24 hours a day.
Put your airline and terminal on the reservation so your chauffeur goes to the right building.
San Jose airport: terminals and airlines
San José Mineta International Airport is owned and operated by the City of San José and describes itself as just minutes from downtown San Jose. The airport says it offers more than 40 nonstop domestic and international destinations.
SJC has two terminals. Its airline list shows:
- Terminal A: American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, United Airlines and Volaris
- Terminal B: Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Southwest Airlines and ZIPAIR
Airlines can change terminals, so check the airport's list or your boarding pass before you fly, and add the terminal to your booking.
Oakland and San Jose airport car service: how pickup works
Pickup at OAK and SJC follows the same steps as at SFO.
- We track your flight. Each airport reservation includes live flight tracking. If you land early or late, or your flight is diverted, the pickup time moves with it.
- Your chauffeur meets you inside. Your chauffeur parks and waits inside the terminal, at baggage claim or in the arrivals hall, holding a name board. Prefer the curb? Note it on the reservation.
- Your bags are handled. Your chauffeur helps with your luggage and walks you to the car.
- Your wait time starts when you land. Airport arrivals include up to 45 minutes of complimentary wait, counted from actual landing, for domestic and international flights.
For departures, send your flight number and terminal when you book. We build in the buffer to get you to the gate unhurried. Dispatch runs 24/7, including early departures and red-eye flights.
Find more on each area on our Oakland and East Bay page and our San Jose page. Full details of the service are on our SFO, Oakland and San Jose airport transfers page.
Choosing the car for an OAK or SJC trip
Match the car to your group and your bags:
- Luxury Sedan (Mercedes-Benz E-Class): 2 passengers, 2 bags
- First Class (Mercedes-Benz S-Class or similar): 2 passengers, 2 bags
- Luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade ESV or similar): 5 passengers, 5 bags
- Luxury Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz high-roof Sprinter van): 13 passengers in individual captain chairs, 13 bags
For a team flying in for a conference day or an offsite, the Sprinter keeps everyone in one vehicle. Tell dispatch how many people are traveling and how many bags you have, and we'll match the vehicle. You can see all vehicle classes on our fleet page.
What the price includes
You get one flat quote before you confirm. Tolls and standard wait are built into the quote. Gratuity is not included and is optional. If the trip changes on the day, for example an extra stop or a much longer wait, the final price can change too.
Sedan and SUV reservations can be cancelled free of charge at least 24 hours before pickup. Sprinter, van and coach reservations can be cancelled free at least one week before.
